Warranty & Replacement Policy

Updated: February 28, 2025

Our dance heels are designed for performance, style, and durability. However, due to the nature of dance and the variety of training intensity, shoes are considered consumable items and will wear differently depending on user behavior.

Warranty Coverage

  • LYP FOR ARTIST provides a limited warranty for manufacturing defects for the first 5 months from the date of purchase, excluding all final sale items. Final sale items include pop-up store or flagship store event purchases, clearance items, blind box products, and any purchases made with promotional discounts (except pre-order discounts).

  • Manufacturing defects refer only to verified production-related issues, such as material imperfections, hardware failure, or structural defects that occur under normal, intended dance use.

FIRST-TIME ACCIDENT = FREE REPLACEMENT ; NEXT TIME = REPAIR FEE (69 CAD)

  • Note: This warranty does not apply to clearance, sample sale, blind box, or all final sale items.

Second-Hand Purchases

Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser from LYP FOR ARTIST or our authorized channels. Any shoes purchased second-hand, pre-owned, or through private resales are not eligible for warranty, replacement, or return, as we cannot verify the product’s original condition, usage, or care.

  • Purchases made through third-party platforms, resale groups, or person-to-person exchanges are considered second-hand.

Manufacturing Defects Include:

1. Material flaws:

  • Issues caused during production, such as color inconsistencies (Slight variations in shade or finish between shoes) or material imperfections (Small spots, marks, or texture irregularities in leather, suede, or panels that occurred during manufacturing) that affect the shoe’s original structure.

2. Structural issues:

  • Failures in the shoe’s construction due to production, such as heel detachment or hardware (buckles, zippers, eyelets) breaking under proper use.

Note: Damage caused by over-bending the ankle, sole separation from over-bending, mesh tearing, scuffs, overtight laces, hip-hop/jazz-funk style jumps or spins, other heavy choreography in non-heels, or shoes loosening/memory loss due to excessive sweat is not covered.

What’s Not Covered

  • Damage caused by improper or unsafe training, excessive intensity, extreme choreography, jumps, spins, or overly tight lacing.

  • Damage caused by long nails or sharp objects that pierce or rip the mesh.

  • Wear and tear, including ripped mesh, broken heels, scuffed soles, or general damage due to regular dance use.

  • Shoes used for activities outside their intended purpose (non-dance use).

  • Sample sale products, clearance, blind box, or pop-up special discount products — all are final sale and not covered by warranty.

Heel Alignment Reminder

Dance heels rely on centered weight placement, and each dancer’s weight distribution, posture, and walking style can cause the heel to appear slightly angled when worn. This is normal and not considered a manufacturing defect.

Different dancers also have different foot alignments — some lean slightly inward (pronation) or outward (supination) when they stand or move. Over time, this can cause the heel to look angled even though the shoe structure remains fully intact. This is not a manufacturing issue; it is simply how weight distribution works in heels.

Once the shoes are worn or broken in, any changes in heel angle caused by personal use, movement patterns, posture, or technique are not eligible for return or exchange.

Replacement Options

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed:

  1. Minor Defects – e.g., stitching issue or minor material flaw: we can offer 50% OFF a new item of equal value on your next purchase.
